Hello i am
I have a knack for problem-solving and love to come up with tools and pipelines to propel my team along to a quality end product in the most efficient way possible. I have a particular interest in procedural generation and cool special effects. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty with some GPU profiling and have a good understanding of what can and can not be achieved on targetted hardware (and the tricks to make it look just as good). In my ideal project, I would be learning new things daily and figure out interesting new ways to approach goals and help my colleagues achieve theirs.
What I love doing.
Tooling and pipeline development for 3D assets creation using python, bash, PowerShell, C++ for game engines like UE4 or Unity.
Game visual effects
Anything from smoke to interactive LED displays, the creation of flipbook assets, advanced reactive shaders & post-processing...
3D Hardware OPTIMIZATION
GPU profiling, identifying and fixing optimization issues. Creating tools for artists to help produce optimized assets. Broad knowledge of tricks to keep graphical fidelity on lower end hardware.
AAA 3D Asset CREATION
High-quality asset production for 3D applications, within technical restrictions, using the latest tools.
PROCEDURAL ASSET CREATION
Anything from converting map data to a living vibrant 3D city to creating highly adaptive procedural materials.
Any other digital visual task
I have experience with a broad set of software and programming languages, and if a problem is put on my plate I will find a way to tackle it, learning in the process. (it is what I love doing most.)

I worked as an independent web developer providing fully featured web applications and sites for small businesses and worked as a freelancer for web design studios.
2011 - 2013
Web developer and interface designer for a medium sized studio in Gent. I was responsible for developing the in-house backend systems, mobile applications, museum booth applications, websites ranging from small informative pages to fully integrated custom made e-shops.
2016 - Present
Responsible for AAA art pipeline automation and tooling, advanced effects, procedural asset generation, graphical optimization, shaders and general technical support to the artist team.
